Owner Comments: In 1974, my older brother, in the Air Force and stationed in Michigan called me to ask if I could pick up a new TR6 he bought from a dealer in Bayshore, since he could not acquire one where he was. So, I guess I was the first one to beat the hell out of the car (but don't tell him that) & fell in love with it. Well, it took almost 25 yrs but I finally got one. The car wasn't running when I got it but all the ingredients were there to make it a dependable (???) car that I could now beat on. It took a mere 9 months of late nights, but after that first 5 grand shift & a flip of the overdrive lever at 90mph I knew it was all money well spent (no matter what my wife thinks). I've been a member of the club since 1997 & I think all the members are a great bunch of fun people with a real concern for each other. I urge all interested Long Islanders to join our club. Our events seem to be more geared to having group fun with each other, including our spouses or girlfriends, not just car shows
