Car Model: TR4

Manufacture Date: 1964

Commission #: CT30295L

Date Acquired: October 1988

Condition Status: Driver

Owner Comments: My 1964 TR4, "Honey II" is still in virtually unrestored condition, which in short, means it's pretty ratty! Since I obtained it, I have put on new tires, a Monza exhaust system and have installed seat belts. The Stromberg carbs, the front suspension, the brakes and the steering wheel have all been re-built. The carb work and part of the suspension and brake work was done by Bob Blake. The car runs well, considering it's original 100,000+ miles on an engine that does not appear to have been re-built. The car is black with a black interior and black top. The sills and floors and 3 of the 4 wings (fenders) are very rusted and thus the whole car needs a total rebuild.

Car Model: TR8

Manufacture Date: August 1981

Commission #: SATPV4585BA407596

Date Acquired: August 1996

Condition Status: Fully Restored

Owner Comments: My 1981 TR8, "Tess" was purchased to replace my 1980 TR7, which I wasn't able to sell until October, 1999. Thus for over 3 years I was a three Triumph owner! Tess was purchased in excellent original condition, thus the condition category of restored does not really apply. I have installed a new top and new tires and am attempting to keep it as pristine as possible and still enjoy driving the car! It is painted Persian Aqua with a blue cloth interior and a black top. It currently has 33,000 miles. Tess is equipped with a 5 speed gearbox and, of course, the TR8 3.5 liter Rover alloy V-8, which was originally manufactured by GM in the early 60's. Mine is one of the rare fuel-injected examples. The engine is very smooth, torquey and more powerful than the TR7. The car is all original except for the addition of a K&N air filter and slightly larger (205VR60x13) tires.
