Owner Comments: You never really forget your first car. In 1961 I found mine parked behind a Pop and Grand Pop garage in my home town of Rutherford N.J. A 1957 red TR3 with badly oxidized paint and a broken windshield. I borrowed half of the 400 dollars from my Dad and what I got for my money was more than a roadster - Something got into my blood and it is there today. I've driven a lot of "Rushmobiles" in the past 40 years; from a 8,200 ton submarine to a 500 HP special State Police Cruiser and just about everything inbetween. But blood is blood and I can't tell you how many times I've stopped and gawked and smiled and sighed when something small and four wheeled and British crossed my path. I was alerted by an old friend,who knew of my secret affliction, about a Triumph being at auction on Ebay. One look and I was TOAST! I paid a bit more than the $400 my first car cost and for unknown reasons it seems a bit smaller than I remember. BUT the Magic is still there. It is FUN to own and drive. It is an on-going work-in-progress-money pit and I love it. What I find so great is that I am now a member of club of really neat people who share the same affliction/insanity.
